I spoke to Ralph's sister Ronnie today. Ralph passed away in 1987. His loss is still as biting today as it was 20 yrs ago. Ralph was a funny guy. His ability to laugh at himself is what we liked about him.

I am not sure if I was in the car or just heard the story..Lori Mccoid was definitely in the car. He pulled out of Dunkin Donuts in his old beat up clanker of a car, onto the wrong side of 35, (By Food Circus)We were all hysterical that he didn't know the way, after all he lived in Middletown. I think we were going to great Adventure.

Ralph and I went to Thorne Jr. High together. I can remember playing floor hockey in the cafeteria during gym with him when he checked me into the wall, we had a fight and Mr. Dauber broke it up. We were friends again the next day. During high school we would run into each other at some keg parties. I liked him. He died in Sandy Hook Bay just off of the Spy House beach while in a small row boat with my next door neighbor Eddie Paul. Eddie died too. It was a windy day and they just could not get back to shore. Eddie Paul was three years younger than us. His older brother Doug Paul was in the class of 1984. I grew up with the Paul's and it was a tragic loss to our neighborhood. May they both rest in peace.
