Stan was an outstanding member of our track team and a fine person. He ran sprints, the 100 and 200 I think. I can still picture him rounding the turn and churning up our gravel track with powerful strides and perfect form leading the pack ... like it was this morning.

Stan never complained. He was tough as steel but good humored. I remember that he loved the outdoors.

I was not in touch with him after high school but would hear news of him from time to time from Ronny Johnson, class of 82. We all liked and respected Stan.

Rest in peace in heaven Stan.

My memories are mostly of Stanley in grade school. We took the same bus home and we sat together or near each other a lot. Also I remember that we talked to each other a lot. I am very sad to hear of his passing away. I extend my condolences to his family.

I remember Stan all the way back from Grammer School. He was always a very nice guy. I wasn't close with him, didn't hang out with him but we knew of each other and always said hi. I remember seeing him pass in the halls and always having a smile on his face. It is sad to hear of his passing and I extend my condolences to his family.

As Matt mentioned, Stan was an important part of our track team. He ran the 100, 200 and 400 relay. Fast as hell and would gut out races. He was a really good guy. Straight talker no BS, but had a good sense of humor. He was a great competitor. HATED losing. It seems like yesterday that I was walking on the track with him talking about whatever. You think those days will last forever and that we will last forever but unfortunately, that is not the case. I hope his son reads these messages one day and realizes what a great guy his dad was, what a great runner his dad was, and how much he was liked and respected. I liked Stan a lot. I'm very sorry he's not with us anymore.

Rest in Peace Stan.

Steven Rounseville was plowing my parents driveway when he told me about Stan's passing. It was right after he died.

Stan was one of the guys in our neighborhood. The other guys included Chris DiReda, Scott Haldane, Jimmy Senkewicz, Billy Montanus, Marty Bradley, Alex Lim, Steven Hoffman, and Joe Pellegrino. He was a tough but shy kid, and a very nice guy. Matt is right about how he ran--upright and fast. He could run right through you, and Vinny is right about his competitiveness. I didn't see much of him after high school, but Stan stayed pretty close to Bill. He will be missed.

I didn't know him well, but I do remember Stan as a guy that always had a smile on his face. Thinking back on the drama & so-called-trauma we all went thru in high school, that's PRETTY impressive.
Sincere wishes that your family finds comfort in knowing he is again whole, perfect, and at peace.
