I remember hanging with him and playing chess and running from MTPD thru the woods carrying a keg with him.

Mike was a great guy. I remember playing softball at Village School and drinking beer with Mike, Tim Keough, Bonnie Smith, Dwayne Coneeny, and some other folks. We also hung out around the bowling alley and some other places that a person could get to on a moped (remember those?!). He was a really decent person -- I don't remember him ever putting anyone else down. May he rest in peace.

Mike was a good friend and a good man. We did spend alot of time with the gang from the bowling alley and partying / hanging out in many places including the woods behind the village school and the billboard on route 35 (Guess we thought Middletown PD would not see us there?). I still find it funny that we would would have keg parties in the middle of the woods while it was 10 degrees outside and snowing...Mike would never miss that!
Miss you Mike.

I was so sorry to hear that Michael Valinotti passed away, I worked with him at Dunkin' Donuts. We were the very best of friends, dated for awhile, ran the roads in his Pontiac Ventura. We camped and rode the rails, partied at the beach. My favorite memory was going to Sandy Hook and running through the old bunkers playing war. He worked as hard as he played and was full of so much Life in everything he did. I moved out of state, We lost touch but I never forgot or will forget the guy that was My first love. I feel like a part of my heart has broken, he was truly that special to me. I am thankful to have been a part of his life.

Mike lived in our small neighborhood up the street from me and my brother Tom. He was a great guy. He made our neighborhood better when he moved in. We played football and stickball in the street in front of AmyBeth and Jeff Straughn's house with guys from the neighborhood and sometimes Tim and the Butlers and our friend Dave McDermitt would come over. We had a great time. Mike was a really good athlete who was fast. I tried to get him to go out for the track team but he wasn't interested. Too bad for us. We played video games at Jeff's house and went down, as Tim mentioned, to the Middletown Bowling Alley and he became an expert at Space Invaders when it came out. We used to also hang out at his house and listen to music and BS about girls and stuff like kids do. I remember when he got his moped and spoke of wanting a motorcycle and I remember when he told me he got one. I am sorry beyond words that he was killed riding a motorcycle. He really loved to ride. He was very smart and a really good person. He would have been a good Dad and it's not fair that was taken from him. I was glad to have known him. Rest in peace Mike.
